Sponsored by Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance.

"[Fairgoers] realize there is more to discover in their own backyard," Cheryl Cook, the executive director of Hopkinsville-Christian County Convention and Visitor's Bureau.

Every county in Kentucky has a different story to tell and the Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance Companies Pride of the Counties exhibit area gives them an opportunity to do just that. Fairgoers can take an exciting trip around the state without ever leaving the grounds as they pass through each exhibit, seeing many of the wonderful things the Commonwealth has to offer.

Each county reveals its unique society and industry in displays of items ranging from historic objects and crafts to local treasures and commercial commodities. Fairgoers will be able to learn many interesting and historical facts about the Bluegrass State. Booths contain information on everything from the lakes of Kentucky to the floral clock in Frankfort to the birthplace and boyhood home of Abraham Lincoln in Larue County.

In 2008, 62 counties from around the commonwealth participated. Oldham County took home the Best Booth Award, allowing them free booth space for the 2009 Kentucky State Fair.
