Infrastructure is…water resources, sewers, flood control, electricity, communications, roads, bridges, emergency services, public health, homeland security, and much more. |
Infrastructure: Supporting Kentucky’s Future will be a 12,000-square-foot interactive exhibition offering a fascinating, behind-the-scenes look at the essential services, products, facilities, and people that make Kentucky work and that will secure the Commonwealth’s future. The content will touch on a variety of current-event topics; it will explore why investment in modern (and green!) infrastructure is vital to our economy and our quality of life; and will illustrate how we, as citizens, can take action to understand, support, and improve infrastructure. Quiz shows and other cool programs will be offered daily.

KENTUCKY’S ABRAHAM LINCOLN
|
presented by: The Kentucky Historical Society
|
| Get ready for the bicentennial of President Lincoln’s birth in this exhibition, which focuses on Lincoln's Kentucky connections. Kentucky’s Abraham Lincoln is divided into five areas which explore his frontier childhood, his career path from log house to the White House, and his struggles to end slavery and lead the nation through the Civil War. Within the exhibit are touchable objects, images, audio clips, video, and interactive elements that appeal to a variety of learners. Visitors can also experience different periods in Lincoln's life and how each time period shaped the legacy that has followed Lincoln for the past two hundred years. |
Learn about Kentucky’s Lincoln Heritage Trail; research Lincoln’s family history; participate in kid-friendly, hands-on activities; and enjoy performances on the nearby stage! |
