The Kentucky State Fair requests that all members of the media working on the grounds during the fair have official Kentucky State Fair media credentials. Dates for the 2008 Kentucky State Fair are August 14 through August 24.

*Kentucky State Fair media credentials can be picked up in the Kentucky State Fair Board Media Office beginning August 1; the entrance to the Administrative Offices is located at the front of Freedom Hall on the west side.

Media credentials may be picked up:

Before the Fair: 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. weekdays
During the Fair: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. every day

How to Order Media Access Materials:

Kentucky State Fair media access requests must be made on company letterhead listing the name and position of each person for whom access is being requested.Within your written request, please indicate how many gate admission books and windshield parking cards are needed. Each gate admission book contains 10 tickets to the Kentucky State Fair. Gate admission books will be mailed beginning August 1, 2008. Payment must accompany all requests. Requests without payment will be returned. To pay by credit card, please download and use the designated form below.

Media Access Materials Include the Following Items:

Gate Admission Book:

• Cost: $5 per book - each book contains 10 tickets. Cash, check or charge (Mastercard or Visa) accepted.
• Each ticket is good for one admission to the Fair, including parking
• Tickets are detachable for distribution to various members of your news staff
• Will be mailed beginning August 1, 2008
• We now accept Visa & Mastercard for payment of gate admission books

Windshield Parking Card:

• Does not guarantee a parking space
• Is not good for gate admission
• Will be mailed beginning August 1, 2008

World's Championship Horse Show Media Access:

• The only way to guarantee a seat for a horse show performance is to purchase a ticket.
  
• A wristband is required for entrance and access to the rail area for photos. These wristbands MUST be requested in writing and are assigned on an individual basis. Each person requesting a wristband MUST sign for their own - no group pick-ups will be allowed. If the wristband is removed, lost or stolen, a new one will be issued at a cost of $5.00 each. Once the wristband is removed, it cannot be reattached. Any altering of the wristband will result in loss of access privileges to the World's Championship Horse Show.

Paid Concerts Media Access:

• The only way to guarantee a seat for a paid concert is to purchase a ticket.
• For a photo, video, or interview opportunity, the form below must be filled out and submitted to the Media Office by July 31.

The mobile access vehicle parking I.D. is to be used for live broadcasts only by satellite trucks, broadcast vans, etc.  Should you require this I.D., please include it in your request.
