A. Gates open at 7 a.m. and exhibits

The midway and tents close around 12 midnight and exhibit halls close at 10
p.m.
Q. When does the Thrillway open on weekdays?
A. 2 p.m.

time does the Thrillway close?
A. There is no official closing
time for the Midway, however, rides and vendors tend to start closing
up around midnight.

When will the 2009 KSF concerts be announced?

Q. When do
the doors open for the concerts?
A. Doors open approximately one and a half hours before the start of free and paid concerts.
Q. Are cameras allowed inside the concerts?
A. The only cameras allowed inside the concerts are instant cameras.
Regular, more advanced cameras are allowed at the Fair, but not
inside Freedom Hall or Cardinal Stadium during the performances.
Q. Are the outdoor
free concerts cancelled if it rains?
A. All free concert performances happen rain or shine. Free concerts
will only be cancelled if there is lightning. Notification
will be posted if a free concert should be cancelled due to weather.
Cardinal Stadium does offer some covered seating.
Q. I am interested in performing at the Kentucky State Fair. What do I do?
A. All talent for the Kentucky State Fair is booked through Triangle Talent. Please visit their Web site for contact information.
Q. Is
parking included in gate admission? What is the fee?
A. Parking is $6.00 and is NOT
included in gate admission to the fair.

do buses park?
A. Lot H in between Gate 4 and
Gate 3 off of Crittenden Drive.

there RV parking? What is the fee?
A. Yes. Overnight RV parking is
allowed only in KFEC Lot F behind Cardinal Stadium
(Electric and water hookups are not available) Parking is $10.00 per night.

A. All rides require two or more tickets. The larger the
ride, the more tickets it takes. (Some height, weight and health
restrictions apply.)

Q. What
do I do if I have lost something during my visit at the State
Fair?
A. All items found and turned in to
the State Fair staff will be taken to the Kentucky Exposition Center
Security Office (entrance from East Courtyard). The office is open
24 hours a day throughout the fair. Call (502) 367-5360.
Q. Can
I bring my pet to the State Fair?
A. Pets are allowed, however, we
recommend they be on a leash.
Q. Can
you page for lost children, family members or friends?
A. The paging system is only broadcast
to outdoor areas of the fair. Pages can only be made for medical
emergencies. We recommend you designate a meeting area (such
as Freddy Farmer on the front porch of Freedom Hall) before
coming to the fair in the event you get separated from your
party.

A. Company picnics are held in Lot C
(adjacent to the South Wing)
Q. What animals will I see when I come to the state fair?
A. The Kentucky State Fair features a wide variety of animals on
display. However, every animal is not displayed during all 11 days
of the fair. If you want to see a specific animal, you will need
to plan your visit according to the livestock schedule (listed below).

*"Changeover day" is when animals are moved in and
out of the West Wing and Pavilion. The West Wing is open on
this day; however, the number and variety of animals on display
may vary. As an alternative, fairgoers may visit the animals
in the Representative Farm Animal Display.
