War Hawks & Valiant Volunteers: Kentuckians in the War of 1812
The national bicentennial of the War of 1812 begins this year, and Kentucky
played an extremely significant role in this story of conflict, often called
America’s “Second War of Independence.”
War Hawks & Valiant Volunteers: Kentuckians in the War of 1812 is a museum-quality exhibition
exploring the causes and consequences of the war, the major battles, and the
leaders and citizen soldiers who inspired song and legend. Graphic panels,
computer quizzes, and artifacts will illustrate the story.
