War Hawks & Valiant Volunteers: Kentuckians in the War of 1812
The national bicentennial of the War of 1812 continues in 2013, and the State
Fair honors the extremely significant role that Kentucky played in the story of
this conflict, often called America’s “Second War of Independence.” War Hawks
& Valiant Volunteers: Kentuckians in the War of 1812 features a series of
illustrated exhibition panels and an interactive area, where fairgoers can
discuss the war with living history interpreters.
The popular mini-musical,
Brave Hunters from Kentucky!, returns
and will be performed several times daily on the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Blue
Ribbon Stage, in the South Wing B Lobby.
